Temporary Lip Rejuvenation (Hydrating Serum) This treatment is gentle and carries minimal risk, but some clients may experience: ✔ Mild Redness or Swelling – Usually subsides within a few hours. ✔ Slight Tingling or Sensitivity – Temporary and fades quickly. ✔ Very Rare Reactions – As with any skincare treatment, allergic reactions are extremely rare but possible. A patch test can be done if you have sensitive skin. Lip Dermal Filler As with any injectable treatment, there are some potential side effects, including: ✔ Mild Swelling & Bruising – Common and usually resolves within a few days. ✔ Tenderness or Sensitivity – Lips may feel slightly firm or tender for a few days post-treatment. ✔ Temporary Lumps or Unevenness – Can occur as the filler settles but typically resolves within a week. ✔ Rare Vascular Complications – While extremely rare, vascular complications can occur. All due care is taken during the treatment, and you will be given full aftercare advice. Should a vascular complication arise, please contact us immediately for a review. Aftercare is key! Aftercare
You will be provided with a full aftercare sheet to help you care for, and maintain, your skin after your treatment. Following our aftercare plan, will ensure you get the best results for as long as possible After your dermal filler treatment there maybe some slight swelling, redness, or tenderness, bruising or itchiness in the area – this is a very normal reaction of the product and injection, the inconvenience is temporary and generally resolves within a couple of days If you are having a lip augmentation the initial swelling can last a little longer with the full healing process taking up to 14 days after the initial treatment. An ice pack can be used to resolve any swelling. Avoid touching the area for 24 hours and treat it as an open wound. Avoid lying down for 4 hours after the treatment. Avoid any make up, sauna, steam rooms, sunbeds for 24 hours and do not expose to extreme heat or extreme cold. If you have previously suffered from facial herpes, there is a risk that the injections could contribute to another eruption of herpes (facial cold sores). If you are using aspirin or any similar medication, be aware that this may increase the risk of bruising or bleeding at the injection site. If bruising is present arnica herbal remedy cream can be applied 24 hours after the treatment. You will be given a cooling lip pack, lip elixir and arnica as part of your aftercare treatment
How long do the
results last for?
Results vary between clients As they say ” Rome wasn’t built in a day” and I am of the belief that less is more. For most, an initial visit will be enough to create the look they desire. For others, it will be the foundation to build upon, it is easier to add more filler on a foundation than to remove it. Once you have your desired results, they will last approximately 6-9 months
Who should avoid Dermal Filler?
For those with specific skin or medical conditions, dermal fillers may not be suitable and an alternative option may be tailored to your individual requirements. This procedure may not be suitable if you have conditions such as; Women who are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding. Uncontrolled diabetes Has, or has been treated in the past 12 months, for cancer Hemophilia Have currently received immunotherapy Have an open wound Have underlying skin or nail disorders Suffer with Keloid scaring Allergies to Hyaluronic Acid or Lidocaine Active cold sores or acne scars in the presenting area Currently taking Accutane or within the last 12 months Please speak with us regarding your conditions to find out whether this treatment is suitable for you, or if we can tailor it or provide an alternative.
Do I need to prepare?
Luscious Lips – Preparation Advice Before Your Temporary Lip Rejuvenation (Hydrating Serum - Stay Hydrated – Well-hydrated skin enhances the absorption of the serum. - Avoid Exfoliation – Refrain from using harsh scrubs or active ingredients (like retinol or AHAs) on your lips for 24 hours before treatment. - No Lip Balms or Lipstick – Arrive with clean, product-free lips. - Inform Us of Any Sensitivities – If you have a history of allergies or sensitive skin, let us know before treatment. Before Your Lip Dermal Filler Treatment - Avoid Alcohol & Caffeine – For at least 24 hours before your appointment to minimise bruising and swelling. - Skip Blood Thinners – If safe for you, avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and supplements like fish oil, vitamin E, and garlic, as they can increase bruising. - Stay Hydrated & Moisturise Lips – Drinking plenty of water and using a gentle lip balm in the days leading up to your appointment can help improve results. - No Dental Work – Avoid dental treatments, including cleanings, for at least two weeks before and after your filler appointment. - Cold Sore Prone? – If you have a history of cold sores, consider taking preventive antiviral medication before your appointment (speak to your GP or pharmacist). - Come With Clean, Makeup-Free Skin – Avoid applying lipstick or lip balm on the day of treatment.
