Chemical Peels

Chemical Peel

What Is A Chemical Peel?

A facial peel is an invigorating, non-invasive exfoliation treatment, that removes dead skin cells in the top layers of your skin, whilst encouraging the growth of new ones. Great for revitalising and restoring your skin giving you a fresh, even and luminous complexion.

Facial peels can help reduce the signs of ageing by encouraging collagen production, whilst minimising the appearance of age spots, fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and scars, for fresh, radiant and youthful-looking skin.

Lie back and relax whilst we treat your face to a gentle cleanse, and toning of your skin, in preparation for your skin peel experience.

Using a carefully selected facial peel, we will gently apply the peel to your face and leave it for several minutes to work its magic. The peel will soak down into the upper layers of the epidermis, removing the dead layers of the skin and encouraging the growth of new skin cells. Your treatment will finish with a complementing facial sheet mask and SPF cream.

To get the most out of your treatment, a good "at home" skin care regime is recommended.

Your Guide to Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels: CLINICARE is a medical-grade superficial chemical peel, containing a mixture of Glycolic, Lactic, Azelaic, Kojic and Salicylic Acids, to actively penetrate the layers of the epidermis, removing dead skin cells and promote the growth of new ones. This is a more intensive treatment than the enzyme peel, with shedding of your skin taking between 5 to 10 days, and results showing from day 3.

CLINICARE chemical peels come in 3 targeted ranges for specific skin indications and are extremely well tolerated with minimum side effects. The chemical facial peel is not painful but your face may feel hot, or have a tingling sensation for a few minutes during and after application.

Enzyme Peels: CLINICARE enzyme peels are a gentler alternative to chemical peels, as they contain natural enzymes derived from plants and fruits, that deliver instant results by efficiently removing dead skin cells, whilst encouraging new ones to come to the surface. This peel gently improves skin texture with no downtime.

Your peel will be selected depending on the type and condition of your skin. It is recommended to have a course of peels which may vary depending on your skin condition, and the strength of the peel may increase overtime as the integrity of your skin improves.

All our peels are Vegan and cruelty-free.

What are the differences between chemical and enzyme peels?

Refresh

Enzyme peels are a gentle and natural facial peel, whereas chemical peels utilise stronger ingredients to resurface the skin. As a result the downtime for chemical peels are longer, but the results will also differ. Enzyme peels are not as intense or as long-lasting as chemical peels, but the results are instant. Chemical peels are more intensive and work on the deeper layers of the epidermis, meaning these treatments work over days rather than instantly. Because chemical peels are more intense, the results are also more dramatic and longer-lasting.
